How to Fill the Vietnam Digital Pre-Arrival Form
Visitors can complete the form online before their trip at the official portal. Here is the typical process:
Step 1: Click on “Create and Submit Pre-Arrival Information”
After landing at the official portal, click on the “Create and Submit Pre-Arrival Information“. After clicking, you will be asked for a captcha verification. Enter the captcha correctly and proceed.
Step 2: Enter your personal and travel information
Select your nationality, fill in your arrival date, passport information exactly as shown in your passport and your accomodation details.
Step 3: Review your information
Be very careful while reviewing your information and if you find any mistake or error, then rectify it before submitting. Once submitted you will receive an OTP on your email address. Enter that OTP to confirm the declaraation.
Step 4: Download the QR code
Once everything is verified, the system automatically assigns a file number and generated a confirmation that contains the QR code. Save this on your phone and take a print out of the same. This QR code is what the immigration officers will need when you arrive at the airport.
Is the Pre-Arrival Form the Same as a Vietnam Visa?
No. The pre-arrival form is not a visa. Travelers still need to obtain a valid visa or entry permission before traveling to Vietnam. Depending upon your nationality, visitors may enter Vietnam using:
- Vietnam e-Visa (online visa valid up to 90 days)
- Visa on Arrival (VOA) with an approval letter
- Embassy visa obtained before travel
